Engineering at Wiz is currently an incredibly small team, and we're now looking for our next engineering wizard.
You should apply if you have —
You'll be helping us with some of these challenges —
How do we keep building more features while keeping the code clean, as small as possible and highly performant? How do we build accessible and thoughtful user experiences while maintaining our in-house theme and design language? How do we build a shareable platform of core components that can be used across all of our frontend apps? How do we build a strong testing-first delivery cycle so we can ship code with greater confidence? 😇 What we're like
We're problem-solvers at heart, and we value data-driven decision making. We believe in high-quality execution, crafting great user experiences, honest & transparent communication and enabling our people to thrive and be the best version of themselves.
The early engineering + product team includes folks from
Lynk and Kilobyte, and we're hoping to build one of the best teams in the city; kind & compassionate, diverse and smart — one you can be proud for being a part of. 🛠 Stack
We're all generalists and prefer picking the right tool for the job. That said, we do use a lot of new & exciting technology.
Backend Golang for most services and Node.js ( Koa, Polka) for a few gRPC for inter-service communication PostgreSQL Frontend Infra AWS (with extensive use of RDS, S3, ECS, SQS, SES & CloudWatch) Gitlab for version-control and CI/CD All apps built and shipped as Docker images Kubernetes for container orchestration for error analytics & uptime monitoring Honeybadger 📍Location
The engineering team is entirely remote right now, and will continue to be until the pandemic is over.
Currently, Wiz is at a
charming bungalow in Kilpauk. Sometime in the first half of 2021, we plan to shift to a swanky new location in a more accessible part of the city. 👣 Process
The application process consists of a 30 minute phone call with one of our engineers, followed by a technical take-home task and 2-3 more meetings. We promise not to ask you any brain teasers or trick questions, and we'll let you know the outcome irrespective of the hiring panel's decision.
