Manager/Senior Manager, Strategic Sales

Ahmedabad, India

The sales team at Wiz is looking to expand across all major cities. This position will be set up to directly report to the Head of Strategy for India.

The role

You should apply if you have —

  1. A post-graduate degree in management from a tier-1 or tier-2 Business school.
  2. 3 to 7 years of experience in Sales, Business Development and key account management.
  3. Solution-ed products and sold it to large pan-Indian enterprises.  
  4. Basic knowledge of shipping, freight forwarding, logistics and supply chains.
  5. Represented industries in the FMCG, Telecom, Freight or 3PL spaces.
  6. Proven sales success at teams & organisations you've worked at.

  2. Are a strong communicator that can work with various teams across geographic locations and can ensure that your own and your team's agendas & goals are fulfilled.

The problems that you'll be solving

You'll be helping us with some of these challenges —

  1. How do we build custom products based on the growing and varied needs of our customers?
  2. How do we help traditional customers become familiar with a fully digital product like Wiz?
  3. How do we work effectively with multiple stakeholders (both internal and external) and balance both our platform and the final consumer-facing product?

Who we are

Our leadership team holds experience working at large multi-national organisations such as A.P. Møller – Mærsk, DHL, OOCL, Mitsui O.S.K, M+R Spedag & Damco and have built teams & processes from scratch. Combined, our senior sales members have around 100 years of experience in the front line of customer-facing roles both locally and internationally.

The process

The application process consists of a introduction phone call with the sales team, followed by a video call with Ram, our CEO (and possibly another co-founder) which focuses on your core skills, your past experiences, what the role entails and how we can set you up for success.


Currently, the sales team is geographically spread across Chennai (HQ), Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, Pune & Ahmedabad. You will work out of a nice co-working space in Ahmedabad. As soon as the team grows (and we expect it will rapidly), we'll be finding a more permanent and dedicated office space.
